The Haiti Project blog is www.haititeam2009.blogspot.com This blog is still on the web. May I encourage you to go to it and enjoy it and pray for the HATS - Haiti Mission and Karen Huxter as she provides leadership for this important work. Education is so important - especially in a country like Haiti. BUT education with a Christian emphasis is vitally important. If you can help in any way please do so!! Pastor D and Paul - as well as the rest of the team - appreciated your prayers.

There are a number of things coming up that require your attention. Please note that these are tentative and subject to change. If you have any suggestions for further events or modifications to those events that follow - please contact Pastor D or Patti Goodwin with your suggestions.
Announcements:
At our Amalgamation Working Group meeting on Tuesday (June 09) the Deacons felt it would be good to proceed in the following manner:
Sunday, July 05 Plymouth Church at 10am
Sunday, July 12 All 5 churches will meet in the Pleasant Lake Church with the Carter family who are home on furlough from Prague. This is at 10am as well.
A BBQ will follow after this service at the home of Don and Jane Nelson in Plymouth—all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Very Important Note:
On Tuesday, July 14 each church requested to meet with its membership, discuss the issue of Amalgamation and finish with a vote for or against the proposal.

Old Fashioned Church Picnic at Elmwood Park sometime late August.
Plymouth Roll Call Service - October 4th. 7pm - Major Peter Rowe of the Salvation Army will be our Guest Speaker and he will be bringing some special music along with him.
Pleasant Lake Roll Call Service - October 18th. 7pm The Speaker and the Special Music not been lined up yet.
Fisherman's Service - November 22nd 7pm in Plymouth. Our annual gathering to ask the Lord's blessing upon those who go out to sea to fish - particularly the Lobster fishery.
Christmas Carolling - December 16th 6:30pm. This is an annual event that we have come to really enjoy. We will start at the Pleasant Lake Church at 6:30pm and make a number of stops at the home of some of our seniors and eventually end up at the Parsonage for Hot Chocolate and some treats. All are welcome to join us.
Christmas Eve Service December 24 6:30pm. This year the service will be held in the Pleasant Lake Church. It will be a candle lighting service so please bring a candle - preferably a dripless candle or one that ha tin foil wrapped around the bottom to prevent dripping wax from burning your fingers.
