Atlantic Baptist Women's (WMS) Summer Family Picnic
July 10, 2009
Our Annual ABW (WMS) Summer Family
Picnic was held today at Camp Chip and a great time was had by all. There
was lots of food, fun and laughter. Some even went swimming and one went
fishing!! Hope you enjoy the pics!
Esther Banquet July 07, 2009
A number of the ladies of the church embarked on a journey back to the time
of Esther and did a Beth Moore Bible Study on this Old Testament woman. Judy
said it was sad to see it end because it was so good. The final night was
marked by a special banquet of their favourite meal - and for the most of
them that was a turkey dinner. So this evening all the Esthers got together
and had a grand time. Mordecai Jr was the server and a good time was had by
all!! Enjoy the pics! May I encourage more of you to get involved in
these kinds of studies.

Aloha from Hawaii March 26, 2009
The Yankee Swap is our first big
event of the new year. This year it was quite a hit as we decided on a
Hawaiian theme. As usual, there was no shortage of good food. Hope you enjoy the pics from Hawaii.
 Recognition
Sunday and Church Picnic July 06, 2008
Every year we try to recognize and
honour our students who have graduated from High School. For one reason or
another this did not happen either of the last two years so this Sunday we
decided to make that right and honour those students who graduated since our
last Recognition Service. In this case it was two lovely, talented young
ladies - Allison Bain and Allison Robicheau. As well, we celebrated the
retirement of our long time Custodian, David Carston and his wife, Joanne.
And that's not the end of it; we also honoured Jean Scott who retired after
30+ years of playing the piano in our church. Here are just a few pics of
the proceedings
We then gathered up at Gretha and Bob's for our Annual Church BBQ. This was
a great feast and a good time of fellowship. Hope you enjoy these few
pics.

 Yankee
Swap May 15, 2008
Our Annual Yankee Swap was quite late this year - we usually have it in
January. The lateness of the time did not dampen our enthusiasm though.
There was a good turn out and more laughter and teasing than I have seen in
a long time. You will see in the photos that there was lots of food and some
very unusual gifts. By the way, who took that nice black gift home??

Annual Hayride February 24 2008
Every year we try to have a hay wagon ride. This year was a good one. The
day was great and the food was good. Here are a few pics - enjoy.
 Valentine Party at Lotus Garden
February 08, 2008
This year we decided that, rather than wash dishes, we would eat out for
Valentine's Day. Thus the arrangements were made and just over 40 of us had
a very enjoyable meal at Lotus Garden. Most people ate from the Buffet,
while a few did order off the menu. The folk at Lotus Garden were very
pleasant and helpful.
We had a contest to see who could guess the closest number of cinnamon
hearts in the bottle - won by Allie Robicheau. We had a hot seat - won by
Paul Sims. And we had a poem write-off. There were 8 entries and Joyce Sims
was declared the winner.
Hope you enjoy these few pics.
 Plymouth Annual Meeting Supper
January 31, 2008
Our Annual Meeting was kicked off
with a Pot Luck Supper. The food was great and so was the fellowship. The
meeting also went well. Enjoy the pics of us enjoying the bounty of our
heavenly Father who provides so well for us.

Family Feud Came to Plymouth Vestry
January 24, 2008
2008 got off to a great start when
"The Feud" came to our congregations in the Plymouth Vestry. Pastor Raymond
Pitcher and his wife, Lauralee, were kind enough to bring the game from
their church and share it with us in Plymouth/Pleasant Lake. During
the course of the game there were commercials - the three pics with Larry
and Patsy show the winning one. We had a record crowd out for the event and
everyone thought it was a great evening. Hope you enjoy a few pics.
 Seniors' Baskets December
20, 2007
Another fun thing that we get to
do here at Plymouth Baptist is to make up and give away a gift basket to our
Seniors. These baskets are filled with fruit, candy, baking, perserves and a
few cards to send out in the mail. A good number of our folk participate by
bringing items for the baskets and some pack them and deliver them. This
year we delivered 24 baskets to our seniors (and to several who were not so
senior).
Pastor Dennis was there and he got to sample some of the
goodies. Christmas Carolling December
19, 2007
A highlight of our Advent/Christmas Season is the Annual Carolling Night.
We started in Pleasant Lake, continued on into Yarmouth and back to
Plymouth. In each community we visited several of our elderly members
and sang Christmas Carols for them. Then, back at the Parsonage, we got
warmed up with some hot chocolate and some treats. This year it was not
too cold and there was a little snow falling to make it a great night.
Here are a few pics for you to enjoy and see what you missed if you were
not with us.
 Church
Decorating in Plymouth
November 27, 2007
A good crowd came out to decorate the Plymouth Church for the
Advent/Christmas Season. Here are a few of the pics. Enjoy!
 Plymouth
Church Interior Gets A New Look
Week November 19-23, 2007
This week was a very busy week in the Sanctuary of the Plymouth Church. We
had a painter come in and paint the ceiling and the trim. Here are some
before, during and after pictures.

Our Annual Fishermen's Service
November 18, 2007
There was a good turn out for our Annual Fishermen's Service and there was
a good spirit of enthusiasm as well. Our men's choir did a fine job
presenting two sea-faring related hymns. Our special guest soloist, Ms Nancy
Goodwin, was an inspiration to us as she presented three well chosen
selections of music. And then we were treated to something very special.
Lily Swim, who is practicing for The YARC'S presentation of "The Greatest
Christmas Pageant Ever" sang a solo "We Three Kings" which delighted all of
our hearts. Our Regional Minister, Rev Wayne Fevens, set us thinking with a
very challenging message from John 21. And being a good Baptist gathering -
we ate. Larry Pitcher looked after the decorating of the church. Enjoy the pics.

Church
Bowling Party
November 16,2007
A good number took advantage of the opportunity to get together and have
some fun bowling. These pictures really don't do justice to the good time
that was had by everyone. Three names were pulled out of the hat to
determine the winners for the evening. They were Mike, Paul and Audrey -
but we were all winners. Enjoy the few pics that were taken this evening.

Card Making and Ice Cream Sundae Social
October 25, 2007
This fun filled evening saw a good
number gather to make cards and have an Ice Cream Social. The Vestry was
alive with laughter and love. Hope these pictures will bring joy to your
heart.
Sonday
Smiles Opening and Church Picnic
September 23, 2007
Today marked the opening of the Fall and Winter Session for our Sunday
School Program called Sonday Smiles. There were a good number of both
children and adults on hand for the first day back. Then after the worship
service we had a Corn Boil, Weiner BBQ and a Games Time. This was a highly
successful day and every one had a great time. Here are a few pictures to
enjoy.

Camp
Peniel First Annual Golf Tournament
September 22, 2007
Plymouth Baptist put two teams in
this tournament in support of our local youth camp.
Team One consisted of Don Nelson, Jonathon Nelson, Louis Amirault and Pastor
Dennis Leamont. Team Two was made up of Paul Sims, Dave Carston, Bob
Newell and Eric Newell. Let's just say that neither team came close to
winning but everyone had a great time and there was a lot of laughing going
on.

Ladies Inductive Bible Study Course
July 13-16, 2007
When Ambassadors for Christ Canada (AFC)
called and offered to conduct an intensive ladies Bible Study at our Church
we did not hesitate to say "yes". And what a blessing it was! It was open to
all the ladies of our area and we had ladies join us from Yarmouth North and
Kemptville Baptist Churches. We had two ladies facilitate the course from
AFC International. Barbara Hanak from Atlanta, Georgia and her
sister-in-law, Chris Hanak from Washington, DC were very capable leading and
in sharing with our ladies. We also had AFC Canadian Director, Brian
Hamilton drop in from time to time. His wife, Linda also took the course.

Baptism at the Lake
July 08,2007
What a wonderful day!! We had a
baptism at the lake this afternoon. The weather was overcast with sunny
breaks and mostly warm. A good crowd was on hand and after the service some
went swimming, some went kayaking, some went paddle-boating and some went on
the donut behind the jet ski. I think that everybody had something to eat.
Praise God for a great and glorious day!
Church Canada Day BBQ
July 01, 2007
This BBQ has become a yearly event. It is a great
time. We gathered at the home of Bob and Gretha Newell and just ate and enjoyed
each other's company. There were a lot of laughs. Hope you enjoy these few pics.

Dave Hobb and Pastor Dennis Go To Haiti
January 9 - 23, 2007
In the Fall of 2006 Pastor D was approached and
asked to go on a Mission Tour to Haiti to help with a School Project - to
finish building a school started in June 2006. The group went to the
Deschappelle area and worked with Karen Hull at HATS- Haiti (Hands Across
The Sea - Haiti). The leader was Gerry Rhyno. Pastor D repeatedly said that
he was not going but finally at the urging of the Church Folk he relented
and went. Dave had made up his mind quickly that he was going. The trip
included Heather Rhyno, Terry Doucette, Robert Comeau, Brian Roberts, John
Fyfe, Ben Churchill, Ed Rose and Wayne LeBlanc.
